For those few who are not familiar with the game of golf the aim is quite simple. A golf course consists of nine to eighteen ‘holes’. Each hole is a mixture of shortly cut grass, roughly cut grass, trees, sand pits, water and other hazards that has a patch of hardened short grass at the end and a flag, known as the pin, in the cup. The idea of the game is to use the various golf clubs, no more than fourteen different clubs, to hit the ball from the tee, the start of a hole, across the course to the pin at the end in as few shots as possible.
